Below is an important list of questions and answers, and other useful information regarding your special day.
How much experience do you have? AddVision was established in 2006. With degrees from the Ohio State University and The New York Institute of Photography, our photography and cinematography teams have over 25 years of combined experience.
How many weddings do you shoot each year?
This is our full time job. Between photography and cinematography, we shoot between 5-10 weddings each month. We steadily shoot close to 100 weddings each year.
What kind of equipment do you use?
For photography we use only professional level full frame Nikon digital cameras and FX lenses. Our cinematography team uses Panasonic 3 CCD full high definition video cameras and full frame HD Canon D-SLR camera's. We use a variety of production equipment such as sliders, glide cams, and cranes to get super smooth movie-like shots. We always come to your wedding day with plenty of battery power, extra lighting, and backup equipment so you can rest assured you are completely covered.
What does it mean to own the exclusive rights to my photographs? It means you do not have to come to AddVision to order prints or products, and you own the lifetime copyrights to all your final photographs. If this option is built into your package, you will receive a DVD of all your final photographs in high resolution, with no studio watermark, and ready to print anywhere. This option will save you a lot of money on prints in the long run.
What is an engagement session? A photography or cinematic engagement session is a 1-2 hour portrait session between the newly engaged couple and your photographer or cinematographer. It usually takes place 1-3 months after you book with us, and it is a great opportunity for you to get to know us and become more comfortable working with us. These sessions are typically outdoor at a park, downtown, or any other location(s) that are important to
the two of you.
Does is cost more to have two photographers or cinematographers on my wedding day? Absolutely not. We believe in complete full coverage. You will always get 2 photographers or cinematographers for the price of one. With 2 photographers you will get more unique angles, an overall better variety of photographs, and your peace of mind knowing no shots will be missed. With 2 cinematographers we will get a wide variety of creative footage and angles which will make your final edited wedding movie perfect.
How much of
a deposit will I have to put down to secure my date? We understand that there are many costs that go into your wedding day. Especially with the current economy, a large deposit just doesn’t make sense. Our required minimum deposit to secure your date is 25% of your total package price.
What is a “growing up” slide show?
A “growing up” slide show can be a very enjoyable and entertaining feature to show at your reception. We will gather photographs of you and your fiancee when you were each young and also photographs of the two of you together, and then we will make a custom slide show with music to show through a projector and screen at your reception.
What is a Phunky Photo Booth?
Not your ordinary photo booth. Unlike the traditional photo booth with a black curtain and limited seating, our Phunky Photo Booth is a mini studio that's set up at your wedding reception. We can bring a backdrop of your choice along with props and lights to set up the perfect Phunky Photo Booth for you. Your guests will be able to jump in at their leisure and grab any props at hand for some great memory making. We can even design a press mounted book of all the pictures from the Phunky Photo Booth.
